Emerging from the fog of COVID-19, it is important to formulate a response that is trauma-informed and grounded in infant mental health principles. This response will be what helps our families stand back up, create a new normal, and build resiliency. Safe Babies Court Teams around the country are in a unique position to wrap around families in this response. In order for this response to be intentional, coordinated, and integrated, it is imperative that we create a common language around the impact of trauma on infants, toddlers, and their families. This webinar will unpack how families, including the youngest and most vulnerable in those families, might be reacting from this collective experience. Additionally, we will review the protective factors that are known to lead to better outcomes for children and families.
