Workshop Description
Co-parenting is difficult. From competing opinions and values in one’s own home, to the addition of failed trust or hostility between separated parents, the ability share the parenting role well is met with challenges. Introducing additional parties into parenting roles further complicates the shared-parenting dynamic, I.E. grandparent, child welfare worker or foster parent. In this workshop, participants will explore potential challenges, benefits and strategies to strengthening co-parenting between parents and between foster and biological parents involved in the child welfare system.
